Money and time#
What does a print cost?#
Weight times one all in rate. PLA and PETG are ₹8 a gram, ABS and ASA are ₹10, TPU is ₹12, and that rate covers the plastic and machine time together; there is no separate hourly line on an ordinary single colour part. Premium 0.1mm layers cost 1.75 times the rate; standard 0.2mm is the base. Billable weight rounds up to the whole gram, the way postage does, so the quote agrees with the whole gram figure Bambu Studio shows. There is no minimum order and no minimum per part in India. Bulk takes 5% off from 5 pieces, 10% off from 10 pieces of the same file. Any colour you pick costs the same as a stock colour. Full workings are on the pricing page at /in/docs/pricing.
How long does it take?#
Two steps, one after the other, and they are counted separately. Printing: Normal print is included and is printed in 1 to 3 business days, and Priority print (10% of the items, at least ₹200) is printed in 1 to 2 business days. Delivery: 3 to 7 days after printing. Business days skip weekends. Both print speeds are offered on /in/print and in the design studio at /in/design.
How do I pay?#
There is no checkout, cart or card payment in India yet. On /in/print, after the instant rupee quote, Request this print opens a short form: your name, email, phone (optional), city, six digit PIN code and any notes. A store product at /in/store has a Request this form on its product page. Our team replies by email with the final price and how to pay. Nothing is charged when the request is sent.
Why is the Request this print button greyed out?#
Because the slicer has not finished measuring your model yet, and we price by weight. It usually takes 10 to 60 seconds. The page holds the button closed rather than send a request on a volume estimate, which undercounts thin parts badly. Wait a moment and try again.
Files and materials#
What files do you take?#
Two kinds. A model we slice for you: STL up to 100MB, or a 3MF model or Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer project up to 40MB. Or a plate you already sliced yourself, exported from Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer as .gcode.3mf, up to 40MB, whose own weight and time become the quote. A bare .gcode is not accepted; use Export plate sliced file instead. OBJ is not accepted on the print upload either; convert it to STL first. Nor is a GLB; export it as STL or 3MF. The free printability checker does read OBJ, and the studio can export a generated model as STL, OBJ or 3MF.
| Extension | What it is | Do we slice it? | Size limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| .stl | Triangle mesh in millimetres | Yes | 100MB |
| .glb | glTF binary mesh | Not accepted on /in/print; export STL or 3MF | None |
| .gcode | Sliced, without the plate | Not accepted on /in/print; export .gcode.3mf | None |
| .3mf | A model, or a Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer project | Yes, and a project can print in its own colours | 40MB |
| .3mf / .gcode.3mf | Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer plate export with the print instructions inside | No, its own numbers are the quote | 40MB |
What materials can I choose?#
Five: PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and flexible TPU. PLA for display pieces and prototypes, PETG when a part has to take some abuse, ABS for heat and impact, ASA when it lives outdoors and has to survive UV, TPU for anything that bends. In India a colour you pick prints at the material's own rate, the same as a stock colour. Custom filament, such as a named brand or a special filament, is not offered in India yet. Material detail is at /in/docs/materials.
Can you print in more than one colour?#
Yes, three ways. Upload a Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer project with its filaments assigned and painted, and we slice each plate in those colours and offer it in colour once two or more really print. Upload a plate you painted and exported as .gcode.3mf, and its own numbers are the quote. Or generate a model in the studio, and we paint and slice it in the colours of its texture, then offer it in colour once two or more really print. Every colour price is that real slice, purge and filament changes included, at a colour rate of plus ₹0.6 a gram at two colours and plus ₹0.4 a gram for each colour after that, so PLA is ₹8.6 a gram in two colours, ₹9 in three and ₹9.4 in four. Colours are counted by what actually prints. Colour change machine time is ₹30 an hour when it applies, and five or more colours adds a ₹500 second AMS fee once per line. A plain STL has no colour regions and prints in the one filament you pick. See /in/docs/studio/multi-color.
Delivery, problems and privacy#
Where do you deliver?#
Across India. Prints are made in India by our print partner and delivered for ₹79, free on orders from ₹999. Delivery takes 3 to 7 days after printing. There is one delivery service: express, international delivery and pickup are not offered in India. US shipping is for customers in the US.
What if something is wrong with my part?#
Email contact@x3dstudios.com, or use /contact, with what you ordered and what is wrong.
Do you keep my files?#
Your models are stored so we can quote and slice them, and a print request links your upload so our team can fetch the exact file you priced. Generated models sit in your history in the studio at /in/design, and you can delete one from there. Nothing you make is published anywhere unless you choose to post it to the community gallery, which is an explicit action. If you want a file removed, email contact@x3dstudios.com.
Accounts and automation#
Do I need an account?#
Not to see a price or to request a print. Anyone can upload a file at /in/print, get its real sliced quote in rupees and send a request. You do need an account to generate a model in the studio. Design credits are priced in rupees on /in/pricing.
Can I order by API or through an AI agent?#
Not in India yet. Ordering by API or MCP is for customers in the US for now. In India, request a print at /in/print or a product at /in/store.
